The Foster Care Connect Foundation is a community-driven nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth and alumni of foster care through compassion, advocacy, and opportunity. Our mission is to ensure that every young person with foster care experience feels seen, supported, and equipped to thrive.
Meet the CEO & President
Dr. Christa Martinez, is a licensed social worker and graduate of Walden University, where she earned her Doctor of Social Work (DSW). Over the past 11 years, Christa has worked across multiple areas of helping professions, holding roles as a permanency caseworker, program coordinator, foster parent trainer, home study specialist, and family therapist. Her journey into social work is rooted in her passion for ensuring children and youth. She is a foster care alumni and first-generation college graduate, Christa earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Kansas State University, her Master of Social Work from the University of Oklahoma, and ultimately her doctorate from Walden University. Throughout her career, she has combined clinical expertise with program leadership, community partnerships, and fundraising, always centering her work on the wellbeing of vulnerable populations.
Christa is recognized as a leader, fundraiser, and trainer who brings creativity and compassion to every endeavor. Whether through direct practice, program development, or community engagement, she continues to build pathways for youth and families to heal, grow, and thrive.
